I was doing some reading today and apparently the infant mortality rate in Harlem is higher than it is in Bangladesh.
It was mentioned in passing, but I can guess what factors convene to make that possible. All I can think about is how ugly that is.

ReplyDeleteReading later on today in a similar vein, I also discovered that those children who do survive are far more likely to be incarcerated than those in nearby, more wealthy communities.
I feel really bad for these families. It must be agonizing.
