I don't know what anyone's heard, but Auburn's trees still haven't recovered, and it might be awhile before anyone can tell what will happen to them.
Dan calls this 'tree terrorism,' and it is a good way of looking at it. It is really sad someone from an opposing fan got so mad that he poisoned a bunch of old oaks, which, really, is incredible petty and, considering trees don't actually root for football, stupid. If those trees die, it'll be sad because they were so old and well-taken care of, up until this incident.
There's been the suggestion that maybe they should just roll them until they fall down, though that strikes me as potentially dangerous, since people roll after a game, when they are (hopefully) jubilant and usually drunk.
Until we know for sure, good luck, Auburn trees.

Gamer Girl
Today I was on the phone with this woman I met last week when I was out with Tori and Ashley. She wanted to know if I would be available for an interview for a job. Would I ever!
So everyone pray for me, because I'm going to need it. I'm going to interview for a job at a game store. (They mostly sell board games, though they also have puzzles and a few stuffed animals.) It's on Monday, so in the meantime, I'm going to try to think of some good answers to common interview questions.
Wish me luck!

Researching and Interviewing
I spent the evening researching for an interview. All the articles out there say that if you're going to give an interview, you should know as much as possible about the company and their mission. So I spent the evening on their site, looking at everything I could about them. Then I Googled them to see if interesting things came up. The only thing that really caught my eye was a short set of pieces that discussed their history. They've only been around thirty years here, though they discussed the old school way of doing things and I found myself profoundly grateful that it was the old school and not the norm any longer.
Everyone wish me luck on this. I'm really going to need it.

Sylvia Plath, I'm Revisiting that Poem I Wrote
As my last post would probably indicate, I have been poeming it up over the last few days. I've been reading poems, and now I have turned to writing more.
I just pulled out this old poem I wrote my freshman year when I broke up with a certain someone. I wrote this angry little poem about it. A teacher (who later became my thesis adviser!) said she liked it. Josie loved it.
And now I've rewritten it.
It's better now, though not perfect, and as you all know my writing must always be perfect.
But I'm going to be brave and submit it anyway.
Wish me luck, yeah?
